    160-10 doublet

Just what I wanted: well-made, good price, quickly shipped. Always been pleased with TLL, and they're the basis for my best wire antennas (as-is, or morphed into 8JKs or Lazy-Hs). A sturdy, low-loss system beats most things the average ham can use. They're pretty stealthy, and TLL makes 'em better and almost as cheap as I could.

    Wow!

This antenna is something else. One, its a monster in size AND a monster in signal. Compared side by side with an OCF windom my noise level on 80M is down 4 S units and the signals are up. Easy install, easy tune with a 4:1 that's recommended here. Spent some time on the phone with Gary during the install, full of information and very helpful. If you're on the fence, buy it.

    Best antenna I ever had !! : )

Posted by KC (AE5II) on 3rd May 2022

I've used many different dipole type antennas ... put this one up about 35' and it's a rock crusher, no joke. I hunt Parks with it and in a Pileup I'm always on top of the pile, hardly ever call more than a call or two, barefoot, a commanding signal. If I can hear'em I can work'em Period. Get one you won't regret it.

160-10 Meter W7FG True Ladder Line Open Wire Fed Dipole

Posted by Kevin Mathison on 4th Aug 2017

I find dipole is a excellent performer on 160-6 meters. I use a 4-1 balun to match open wire feed to antenna. Added bonus is antenna is flat on 6 meters. No tuner necessary. I have worked many stations on 6 meter FT8 mode. Antenna is only 20 feet off the ground. I will be putting up another 160-10 Meter W7FG True Ladder Line Open Wire Fed Dipole running in perpendicular direction. Thanks again. Kevin WB8AIZ

    Works Great!

I ordered a 160-6 dipole to replace a home brew dipole fed with Window line. I figured the only difference would be not having to re-tune when it was raining or snowing. I was very surprised at how much better it worked. No more re-tuning for moisture, tuning is way easier and nowhere near as sharp as before. As for signals, several Hams who know my signal thought I was running my 500 watt amp when i was barefoot. I am very pleased with the overall performance! John, AF7JQ
