I had to have one at my summer and winter QTH's

Posted by Ralph Hicks on 15th Apr 2022

Shipping of the 80-10 ladder line fed dipole antenna was fast and I found the antenna to be well made. We mounted it between two tall trees with a pulley and rope on one end so it could be lowered in the winter when we were away. The performance was much improved over the vertical we had been using. This was a perfect antenna for a remote location on a Maine lake. I also purchased a second antenna for my home QTH.

    Can't Build It Cheaper

Posted by Eric Fitzgerald on 6th Aug 2021

Having made my own 400Ω ladder line doublets before, I can say not only can you not build it any cheaper, this product is better that what I assembled. I wanted to get this before Field Day and they made sure it was in my hands with plenty of time to spare. Great product and great people. Highly recommended.

    Great product, great service!!

I cut this to 86 ft for use as an extended double Zepp on 20m and a slightly longer dipole on 40m. It's up at 40 ft between two trees. This thing has been through some extreme storms in summer and winter over the past 14 months and has held up fine. Very impressed with the clever design, and happy that the purchase supports a good cause. Works great, too! Very highly recommended.

I have purchased 160 meter and 80 meter dipoles with ladder line, of course. Never had an issue with high winds or ice load.

Should have started with this one.

I'm one of those that started with the Cobra Ultralite Sr. It's a good antenna, but no matter now much I played with 450 feedline length, I kept having to deal with band tradeoffs. Switched to the 80-10 with 50' feedline. Center is 45' AGL inverted vee, ends at 25' AGL. Straight out of the box. Feeds into an LDG 4:1 balun, and 6' RG-8X from bulkhead to radio. Boom. LDG IT-100 tuner, 80-10 all bands load up great.

This antenna is so quiet I love it !! Tunes up great using my Palstar AT1KP tuner just after a 1:1 current balun, once tuned it is rock solid no more tuning required until I move to a far frequency. Getting very nice signal reports . Construction is very good !!

    well built.

Shipping was prompt. Antenna was exactly as described. I need to do a bit of trimming. But, other than that, it works well with my TenTec 239b tuner. ( and a 1:1 balun) James W. WD5GWY

This is the second one I've bought. the first one was so good that I bought the second one because the first one was destroyed by a hurricane. It is worth the money.

    I like it!

I replaced a home made fan dipole with the 80-10 meter dipole. Having one continuous wire on each half of the antenna from the open wire line to the end of the dipole is nice and I think contributes to durability. Low wind loading in storms and tunes from 160M to 10M with my SG-239 auto tuner. Very reasonably priced for an antenna that works great.
