WB2JIX Gives Ladder Line Presentation at Falmouth Amateur Radio Assoc. Meeting
WOW! What a well-attended club meeting and wonderful people. My wife & I took a trip to Falmouth as a three day weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. We estimated 60-75 members in attendance. The presentation has been expanded a bit from the one I initially created for the Radio Amateurs of Northern Vermont (RANV) club and included many more photos of installations and methods of using ladder line and how to erect doublets.
We were treated to dinner at Liam McGuire's Irish Pub, which I think will be the last time the club members meet there, due to poor service and attitude on the part of the staff. The food was good though!
This was the fifth club presentation that I've done and each one does get better.
The next day, we were headed to Mystic, CT and my wife suggested we drive into Cranston, RI to sample the food at Olneyville NY System on Reservoir Ave. A good friend that grew up in Providence has raved about the weiners and the meat sauce there. I wasn't too impressed. The sauce I make is much better and more flavorful. Hey, at least I know now and no longer feel the guilt of not making it there. Maybe the original Providence location is better?
Hey, it's a business expense either way!
